My toolstack, including everything I use
This is a list of the tools I use on a daily basis. I've tried to include as much detail as possible, but if you have any questions, feel free to reach out.
Workstation
16' MacBook Pro, M2 Max, 96GB RAM (2023)
This is a powerhouse. I use it for everything, not just my own work but helping others render videos or train models. The 96B of RAM allows me to open hundreds tabs on Chrome with ease.
Logitech G502 Hero
Honestly, I never use this mouse when I attempt to do any work. I just use it to play games.
Apple Magic Trackpad
Something about all the gestures makes me feel like a wizard with special powers. I really like feeling like a wizard with special powers.
Emerge Vartan Bonded Leather Gaming Chair
This thing could go almost flat. The backrest and headrest ensure that I don't get any pain even after sitting for hours.
Development tools
Visual Studio Code
By far the best editor. Customizable, extensible, and lightweight. It may be an understatement to call this an editor, with the right configuration, this thing can outperform IDE"s.
iTerm2
I’m honestly not even sure what features I get with this that aren’t just part of the macOS Terminal but it’s what I use.
MongoDB Compass
A fast and visual way to understand relations between my models. Simple, elegant, and easy to use.
Productivity
Wakatime
The best ego booster. Makes me happy to see that I spend so much time coding, and not going outside.
Apple Screentime
This is my last straw. Seeing 15 hours of screen time a day is a wake up call. It might take a toll on my health, but who cares anyways :D
Notebook
The only non-electronic item I still keep by my side. Paired with a pencil, the good old notebook is still the best way to jot down some quick thoughts.
